The 40+ mile Shawangunk Ridge Trail is still a work in progress, with the Trail Conference continuing to lead efforts to protect an intact Ridge trail corridor in New York from the New Jersey border to Minnewaska State Park Preserve. Because the trail is still in flux, publication of a full-featured map of the trail is premature. But, thanks to Trail Conference volunteers who have been building, blazing, and collecting data on the trail, it has reached a point where it can be enjoyed by hikers. To help hikers get out and enjoy the trail, we are making a preliminary map available as a courtesy. Details will change as work on the trail continues. Maps are now available for printing on your printer. There is an expanded version of the overview at the left and three separate blowups which each print on an 8.5x11 page. (The files are large so be patient on a slow line.)
