Trail U 598 - Intro to Tool Use and Safety
There's an old saying, "Work smarter not harder." Proper tool use is a big part of this concept. Topics covered will include how properly to use tools like pick mattocks, rock bars, hazel hoes, MacLeods and sledge hammers. We'll also teach practical exercises in utilizing mechanical advantage using rock bars and picks to move large rocks. Don’t underestimate the importance of this workshop--moving large rocks without the proper technique can cost a lot of time and potentially a lot of damage to your back and hands.
Registration for this workshop will be held in person at the conclusion of the prerequisite Trail U 596 - Intro to Bear Mountain Trails Project.
